EVENT ASSISTANTS NEEDED

Career Services is recruiting 20 energetic, friendly and professional students to work at this year’s Career and Recruitment Fair on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

Event Assistant Role

Morning shift 7:45 – 9:15 a.m.

  • Event set up – help the event team get Main Street ready for the fair, including laying out tablecloths and electrical cords
  • Greet employers and assist with their display materials using trolleys to load, unload and move display materials between the employer loading zone (outside) and Main Street
  • Escort employers to the registration check-in area and assist them to find their assigned table
  • Provide information to employers including parking, general university directions, and event information

Afternoon shift 2:15 – 3:15 p.m.

  • Event take down – help the event team collect tablecloths, evaluation forms, electrical cords, and general clean-up
  • Assist employers with their departure from the University using trolleys to load, unload and move employer display materials from Main Street to the employer loading zone outside

Compensation
You will receive a $10 gift certificate from the MRU BookStore for each hour worked. An additional $5 gift certificate will be provided for attending the required 1/2 hour training session.

Qualifications

  • You must be a current Mount Royal University student
  • Qualified applicants will be hardworking, energetic, and provide quality customer service
  • Heavy lifting may be required
  • Able to work outside for a few hours on the day of the event
