International conference on investigative journalism - June 13 - 15

More than 70 speakers from around the world are coming to Winnipeg for Holding Power to Account, an international conference on investigative journalism, democracy and human rights, June 13-15. Speakers include:

Carl Bernstein, who will be speaking on the lessons of Watergate
Peter Mansbridge, CBC News chief correspondent and anchor of The National
Linden MacIntyre, Fifth Estate host and Giller-Award winning novelist
Bob McKeown, Fifth Estate host and formerly of Dateline NBC
Diana Swain, senior investigative correspondent for CBC News
Michael Hudson, senior editor of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists
Adrienne Arsenault, correspondent for CBC News
David Milgaard, advocate for the wrongly convicted

We also have speakers from Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Malaysia, Croatia, India, Germany, Austria, Australia and across Canada and the U.S.

This unique event brings together working journalists and academics to discuss important issues touching on democracy and human rights.

Hey everyone, I am a Mount Royal Journalism alumni and I need your HELP!  I'm in the running for a $10,000 grant from Telus to produce and broadcast a short documentary.
