Consider doing a minor or studying abroad while at MRU

Journalism students are eligible to complete an official minor in a second faculty at MRU, in programs such as Policy Studies, Business and Arts.

Doing a minor requires effective use of both General Education courses, and (student choice) Electives, of which there are four in the journalism program. It is important to examine this option in your first year at MRU, decide early, and plan carefully to obtain sll the courses required.  Go to mtroyal.ca  for more information, and/or talk with FCS advisor Elizabeth Lennox ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Your faculty also offers a Certificate in International Communications to degree students in all our majors including journalism, which can be completed as part of your degree studies. As is the case with the minor, it takes time and planning to obtain the certificate! Details of this program are posted right here on jtimes.ca.
