Creating A Podcast At CJSW

Wednesday, 19 August 2015 09:57

Hey Journalism students. My name is Kai Sinclair, the News Director at CJSW 90.9 FM - the campus/community radio station located at the University of Calgary.

One of my jobs is creating and producing the many podcasts that air on CJSW. We have programs on architecture/design, energy, comedy and much more.

Some of our shows have been featured on the front-page of the iTunes podcast page - something that no other campus station has done! Recently, our program "Theoretically Speaking" was the #2 podcast in the country.

I'm interested in students who'd like to add to their degree experience by creating great radio and developing new podcasts. They would get full training courtesy of us, learn broadcasting skills, build their resume, and also reach a global audience. This would be a volunteer opportunity, but a really fun one. CJSW is an important cultural institution in Calgary that not many students take full advantage of.

If you're interested, email me at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . I'm happy to provide tours of the station and discuss the project in more detail.

Cheers,
